CB&I Laydown Yard

After the floods in summer 2017 in southeast Texas, CB&I needed a laydown yard relocated. Five-S, providing its expertise both pre-construction and as a general contractor, constructed a 29-acre facility at a CB&I facility in southeast Lake Charles, Louisiana. The scope of work consisted of clearing and grubbing, stripping, and removing topsoil, installing geogrid textile fabric and sub-base, placing and compacting base aggregates, using grade control technology-equipped dozers to slope the site to grade for sufficient storm drainage and other associated miscellaneous site prep related activities.
